JSW Steel announced on Monday it registered a 60 percent year-on-year growth in crude steel production for April, mainly due to output from a recently commissioned expansion project.
JSW produced 4.56 lakh tonnes of crude steel in April compared with 2.84 in the corresponding month of last year.
The company had commenced commercial operation of 2.8 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) expansion project at Vijayanagar from April 10.
