GVK Power's arm announces COD for 220 MW expansion project

GVK Power & Infrastructure said that GVK Industries, a wholly owned subsidiary of the company has announced on Apr 14, 2009 the commercial operation date (COD) for its 220 MW expansion project - Phase II at Jegurupadu Village, Kadiyam Mandal, East Godavari District.

GVK Power & Infrastructure is the holding company of the power businesses of GVK and also provides operations and maintenance services to its power assets.

Shares of the company gained Rs 1.7, or 6.49%, to trade at Rs 27.90. The total volume of shares traded was 4,520,908 at the BSE (12.29 p.m., Wednesday).
